Garth, O. Vaz, MD - Gonzales, TX
Ever since I first read about ACOs in the ACA literature I thought it would be a great improvement in the healthcare delivery system in the U.S. I thought it was a good opportunity for us to catch up with the rest of the world. The trouble, as often is the case, was the daunting task of finding the financial, educational, and human resources needed to start something so new and so big. This is where TMA PracticeEdge was invaluable.
TMA PracticeEdge helped physicians across a large area of South Texas come together under the same vision by offering education that both taught this new concept and overcame political biases. They provided expertise, leadership, and resources—including financial—without which our ACO formation would not have been possible.
TMA PracticeEdge was the stable force behind us, and I would most certainly recommend them to any independent physician who is interested in learning more about the ACO concept or bringing local colleagues together to form their own.
